Industrial Project Delivery Control
Coordinating schedules, budgets, vendors, procurement, and site execution across industrial projects
Role
Senior Project Engineer
Duration
Oct 2019 – Jul 2022
Tools & Methods
MS Project, SAP-PP, AutoCAD, Vendor Portals
Overview & Context
As a Senior Project Engineer, I supported end-to-end delivery of industrial projects across food processing, chemical, and material handling environments, coordinating schedules, budgets, vendors, procurement, and site execution.
The Challenge
Large-scale industrial projects required coordination across multiple teams, vendors, and timelines, with risks around delays, cost overruns, and misalignment.
Before State
Procurement, engineering, and site execution teams worked in silos, leading to misaligned schedules, delayed material arrivals, and uncoordinated vendor site visits.
The Approach
I focused on structured planning, coordination, and execution control.
Developing detailed project schedules and execution plans
Coordinating across design, procurement, QA/QC, and site teams
Managing vendors and contractors to ensure alignment
Tracking costs and progress using SAP-PP and MS Project
What I Actually Built
I implemented an integrated scheduling and tracking system linking procurement lead times to site execution milestones, incorporating vendor expediting updates directly into the main plan.
Solution & Impact
I led the end-to-end execution of projects, ensuring alignment between planning and on-ground implementation. This involved maintaining structured project timelines and milestones, ensuring timely procurement and vendor coordination, monitoring site execution and resolving issues proactively, and continuously aligning stakeholders across functions.
What the Deliverables Looked Like

Key Learnings
Strong coordination is key to managing complex projects. Early risk identification prevents major delays. Execution discipline is as important as planning.
